Marcella Royal, 84, of Belton, TX, passed away February 26, 2024, at a Temple hospital. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 29, from 6-8pm. Services will be held on Friday, March 1, at 2pm. Both will take place at Dossman Funeral Home.

Marcella was born on February 25, 1940, to Lloyd Dickison and Lucy Irwin, in Oldtown, Kentucky. She married Harold “Hud” Royal on December 31, 1964.

She loved to pass the time by watching old westerns, doing crossword puzzles, and watching football. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hud Royal, sister Emma Lou, and brother Adrian.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Steven Royal and wife, Cynthia and  Vance Royal and wife, Dandy; 4 grandchildren, Austin Royal, Riley Royal, Nettie Royal, and Holly Hailey; one great grandchild Georgia Hailey; one sister, Sharon Magruder; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews; and also her sons friends that she treated as her own children.
