Lucia "Miss Lucy" Reyes Martinez

Mrs. Martinez died Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at her daughter's home in Jarrell.

Mrs. Martinez was born in Panuco de Coronado, Durango,  Mexico the daughter of Juan Reyes and Hilaria Najera Reyes.  She married Jose Martinez in 1952.  Mrs. Martinez moved to Texas in 1971 from Mexico.  She worked for the Stagecoach Inn in Salado for 48 years.  She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by 7 children, a brother, Juan Reyes, a sister, Juana Reyes, 2 grandchildren, Ana Paula Martinez and Manuel Martinez.

Survivors include her husband Jose Martinez, Sr.; six sons Fermin Martinez, Amalio Martinez, Augustine Martinez, Lucio Martinez, Prudencio Martinez, Sr.  and Jose Martinez, Jr.; five daughters Maria del Rosario Martinez, Juana Acuna, Eduarda "LaLa" Villarreal, Bentura Martinez and Valentina Martinez; one brother Jesus Reyes; three sisters Eduarda Herrera, Socorro Herrerra and Irene Garcia; 29 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
