Funeral services for Loretta "Rita" Herring Leach Johnson, 87, of Belton will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 30, 2024, at Dossman Funeral Home chapel with Rick Lasly officiating.  Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson died September 25, 2024, at her daughter's home in Belton.

Mrs. Johnson was born February 27, 1937 in Kempner, the daughter of Robert Herman Herring and Mary Evelyn Thomison Herring.    She married Vethia Ira "V. I." Leach on June 24, 1955.  He preceded her in death in 1998.  In 2007, she married David Johnson in Troy.  She was a homemaker. She was an oil and acrylic artist.

Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by her sister Helen Harvell and one grandson, Randy Stanley in 2013.

Survivors include her husband, David Johnson; one daughter Wanda Stanley and husband Earl; two brothers Bobby Herring and wife Joann, and Glen Herring; one sister Donna Herring Edwards; three grandchildren, Kevin Stanley and Anna Kate, Jason Stanley and Rachel, and Caitlin Stanley; two great-grandchildren, Dean Keith Stanley and Allen Ira Stanley.
