Lloyd Montgomery

Funeral services for Lloyd Montgomery, 90, of Temple, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton.

Mr. Montgomery died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in a Temple Veterans Nursing Home.

Mr. Montgomery was born July 22, 1930, in Bell County, the son of Clinton Jackson Montgomery and Lizzie (Thomas) Montgomery.  Mr. Montgomery served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He married Elsie Raney, September 1, 1956.    They were former members of the Bell County Sportsman's Club.   He was an electrician and worked for Collier Electric as well as Brazos Electric.   He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Steven Montgomery of Temple and Bruce Montgomery of Temple; one daughter Donna J. Pavel of Temple; three brothers Jack Montgomery of Whitehouse, Donald Montgomery of Bakersfield, California and William "Butch" Montgomery of Temple; two sisters Kay Stapp of Rogers and Sue Bross of Round Rock; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be from 4- 7 PM Friday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
