Funeral services for Lisa Maddux, 54, of Temple, will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2023, at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Ray Crow officiating.  Burial will follow at Val Verde Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Maddux died Thursday September 28, 2023, in a Minnesota Hospital.

Mrs. Maddux was born February 9, 1969 in Temple, the daughter of Chester Lee and Opal Faye (Reynolds) Wooley.    She graduated from Holland High School in 1987 and received her associates degree from Temple College.     She married Rae Maddux, May 29, 1993 in Rogers.   She worked at Texell for several years.

She was a member of Temple Bible Church where she enjoyed Bible Study with small church groups.   She was a volunteer with the Salvation Army, working the food pantry and the front desk often.

She also enjoyed family time, from preparing gourmet meals with Rae, to  hunting and fishing, to helping with baseball for her son, Zachary.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Rae Maddux, son Zachary Maddux and his wife Gabby; brother Terry Wooley and his wife Patty; sister Wilma Kruse and husband Bob.
