Lester Wayne Hansen

Graveside services for Lester Wayne Hansen, 71, of Tyler, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Wilson Valley Cemetery with Charles Lubbeck and Ronald Carroll officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.

Mr. Hansen died Thursday, August 23, 2018 in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Hansen was born August 3, 1947, in Longview, the son of Bert and Van Ellen (Forbes) Hansen.  He married Sherry Adcock, August 28, 1967, in Academy.  He proudly served for 25 years in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.    Mr. Hansen retired as a Senior Master Sargent in 1992.  In Tyler he was a member of the VFW in Tyler and attended the Cowboy Church.

Survivors include his wife Sherry Hansen of Tyler, one son Casey Hunter Hansen of Tyler, one sister Carolyn Frei of San Antonio.
