Leroy Jones

Leroy Jones passed away at Park Place Manor, in Belton, Texas on January 10th, 2025, at 94 years of age. Services are pending at this time.

Leroy was born July 10th, 1930, in Dewey County, Oklahoma to parents Oscar Lee Jones and Cora Mae Jones.

Leroy was one of ten children. He was Army Veteran; he served 2 tours in Vietnam and was stationed in Germany for one tour.  He worked for the Belton School district as a janitor and helped to set up all the sporting events. When he had the time, he just liked to drive around sightseeing, or fishing. He loved John Wayne and all westerns. He could play the guitar like a pro, and like watching golf. But not playing it. He was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. His faith was very important to him. In his later years, he was the Valentines King five years in a row at Park Place Manor. He had a big, loving heart, and will be missed by many.

Leroy is survived by his niece Lucy and husband Rusty Hix-Hable and great niece Kristie and her husband Elijah Whites.

Leroy is preceded in death by his parents; nine siblings; one nephew, Michael R. Hix; and one niece, Beverly Hobday.
