Leannell "Tooter" Wilson Ingraham

October 8, 1936 — December 18, 2023

Leannell "Tooter" Wilson Ingraham (87) passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023, with her family lovingly by her side.

Born October 8, 1936, to William Leon Wilson and Eleanor Rose (Puddy) Wilson, Tooter lived an enjoyable childhood in Belton, Texas with her younger sister Doris Eleanor Wilson and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A lot of her time was spent at Wilson's, her family's store, building lifelong relationships with friends and neighbors in the Belton community.

Tooter had a strong work ethic demonstrated by her years as a Legal Secretary before retiring from the James Kreimeyer Law Firm. When she retired, she was well known and respected throughout the legal system in Bell County.

She was a proud member of the Legal Secretaries Association, The Daughters of the American Revolution and was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.

Tooter was blessed with two daughters, Roxanne and Tracie who brought her much joy. She had a great love for fashion, painting, and football (Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M Aggies, to be exact). Tooter was strong-willed and stubborn at times but had an enormous heart and a great sense of humor. Her generosity never let a friend, family member, or an animal go without.

On June 13, 1997, Tooter married Percy Eugene Ingraham in Belton, Texas. This union gained her five more children; Mike, Marlene, Michele, Mark, and Morgan.

Tooter and Gene were lovingly called "Mimi" & "Papa/Poppa" by their family. They took many active roles in the lives of their grandchildren. She cared for them deeply! In their later years, they enjoyed traveling all around with the Retired CID Agents Association, visiting The Horseshoe in Louisiana, tending to their koi pond and beautiful plants, and of course spoiling the "grands" - they were happiest while in the company of family and friends, whom they loved so dearly.

Tooter is preceded in death by her husband, Percy Eugene Ingraham December 7, 2019, and her sister Doris Eleanor (Wilson) Northam.

Tooter is survived by seven children, Tracie and husband Barry Simpson, Roxanne Bledsoe, Michael Ingraham and wife Linda, Marlene Ingraham Licklider, Michele Ingraham Rector, Mark Ingraham and wife Tex-Ann, and Morgan Ingraham Sr. and wife Denise. Grandchildren Brooke and husband GW Egbert, Candace and husband Wes Lambard, Chase and wife Torri Simpson, Brandon and wife Kristen Bledsoe, Jarrett Bledsoe and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also loved and remembered by many, including Kim Bledsoe, Doug Northam and wife Susan, Dennis "Pistol" Northam and wife Carrie, Earl Ingraham, Marvin Ingraham and wife Tammy, Billy Ingraham, and Milda Youmans.

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us;  what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal. - Albert Pike

May we all remember Tooter for her fierce love, feisty spirit and giving heart. She will be so missed.
