Kenneth Lee Lewallen

May 18, 1971 — June 19, 2023

Kenneth Lee Lewallen, 52, a beloved son, father, husband, grandfather, friend, entrepreneur and business owner, has passed on June 19, 2023 at home in Temple.

Mr. Lewallen was born May 18, 1971, grew up in Odessa, and lived in Aransas Pass where he graduated highschool before continuing his studies at Baylor, moving to Austin where he began his family and eventually Temple where he lived out his life. He was truly a business owner and entrepreneur at his core. He was the real estate broker for his own agency, Sunburst Realty in Temple which he bought from his mother Joelann Weaver. He was a member of First Baptist Church Austin.  He married Nathaniel Callahan, January 15, 2017, in their home in Belton.  He enjoyed fast cars (really fast), great food, and nice watches. Along with his family, he was most proud of founding Gryphen House Foster Home where his daughter Morgan Farmer is the director.

He is survived by his husband, Nathaniel Callahan; mother, Joelann Weaver and her partner Darwin Dykes; children, Morgan Farmer and her husband Jake Farmer, Jacob Lewallen, and Bailey Lewallen Isbell and her husband Cade Isbell; grandchildren, Kennedy, Parker, and Brooks Farmer; and friends who loved him like family.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 1, 2023, at First Baptist Church Austin,

901 Trinity Street Austin Texas 78701. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Gryphen House by way of check at 101 S 25th St, Temple, TX 76504 or Venmo @gryphenhouse.
