Memorial services for Kayleigh R. Smith, 17, of Troy, will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Temple Bible Church.  Services will be held along with her beau, Nakoda (Koda) C. Layton 18 of Troy.

Miss Smith died Monday, July 17, 2023 in Copperas Cove.

Miss Smith was born April 4, 2006 in Temple the daughter of Leighan Southerland and Jeb Willingham. She was a Senior at Troy High School, where she was on the powerlifting team, a trainer for the football team and a member of the FFA. After high school graduation in 2024 she planned to study nursing.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Ronnie Love and great grandma Frankie Love.

Survivors include her parents Leighan Southerland and Jeb Willingham; three sisters Zoie Southerland, Mikenlee Southerland and Trinity Pruett; two Aunts Kimberly Love ,Katie Teeters,; one uncle Grayson Honeycutt; and grandparents Tami Love, Mark Heuser, Junior Willingham and Dori and Ronald Wegner.
