Karsyn Brooks Moreno, age 6, passed away unexpectedly on May 17th, 2024 at Baylor Scott and White MeLane Children's Hospital in Temple, TX. She was born on January 15th, 2018, in Temple, TX to Justin and Amy Moreno. Karsyn is preceded in death by her grandmother, Cheryl Bernier; grandfather, John Moreno; great grandfather, Duane Hansen; great grandmother, Laura Brown; great grandmother, Velma Belk; and her cousin, Stormi Bernier. She is survived by her parents, Justin and Amy Moreno; three older siblings, Kaegan Huddleston, Kenley McGough, and Easton Moreno; her grandparents, Dawn Moreno, Robert Bernier, and Dolores Bernier; great grandfather, George Belk; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Karsyn lived in Temple, TX and was a kindergartner at High Point Elementary School. She was beautiful, full of life, and lit up every room she walked into. She spent her time playing t-ball in Belton and had just been nominated for the 2024 all-star team. If you were blessed enough to know Karsyn, you knew that whatever her daddy was doing, she was going to be right there by his side, especially when it came to doing their favorite things like spending their summers on the lake catching fish and hanging out at the sand flats. Karsyn also enjoyed spending time with her siblings, of course, keeping the spark alive by playfully picking on them. And, oh, how much she loved her mama: Karsyn was her mama's shadow in life, her mini-me, and her world. She was a wildflower, colorful and carefree, blossoming anywhere she went. She was very fierce and sassy, and her sweet face often told all of her secrets. Karsyn always had the ability to make anyone smile. Though her time with us was cut far too short, she made a profound impact on everyone who met her, and she will forever remain in our hearts.
