Karen Sue Armstrong

Karen Sue (Aydelott) Armstrong, 69, of Temple went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at a Temple Hospice facility.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Alan Einboden officiating.

Karen was born on April 25, 1949 in a convent in Port Townsend, WA to Robert Eugene and Virginia Lee (Boster) Aydelott. Mrs. Armstrong graduated from Irvin High School in El Paso, Texas and later from the University of Maryland. Karen married Richard D. Armstrong on January 8, 1983. She worked for the Federal Government in various locations in the US and in Europe. After retirement she was the owner/operator of a light manufacturing business making porcelain dolls and ceramic giftware until final retirement and moving back home to Texas. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints (Mormon) and served in various callings.

Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Richard D. Armstrong of Temple, three step daughters; Rene' Havens and Yvonne Armstrong of Killeen, and Robyn McDaniel of The Colony, Tx.; brother Alan Aydelott of Peora, Az., four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
