Julia Villanueva Rodriguez passed Sunday, October 3, 2021. She was 62 years old.
Julia was born on January 10, 1959 in Mier y Noriega where her parents Bonifacio Rodriguez and Eduarda Grimaldo received her with love. She grew up in San Isidro, Mexico with 3 brothers: Pedro, Ramon and Goyo as well as her 7 sisters: Maria, Lupe, Rosa, Hermelinda, Santos, Matea and Lupita. She eventually married her future husband and companion for life, Isaias Villanueva who was from the neighboring Cerros Blancos.
They were married July 17, 1975 and began their life travelling to Dallas and Mt. Pleasant, eventually settling in Belton. During this time, they welcomed 6 children, Consuelo, Johana, Alberto, Davy, Nancy and Elena.
Julia was a devoted wife and mother to her children whom she loved deeply. She heard the calling of God and was one of the founding members of New Jerusalem Church here in Belton. She served on the board of directors for the church and enjoyed spending much of her time there. Julia enjoyed cooking and often did so for her church and her family. It didn’t matter the time or day, if her children came to visit, she was always happy to make them a delicious meal.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Isaias of Belton, four daughters, Consuelo Bedolla and husband Rafael, Johana Silva and husband Juan, Nancy Nino and husband Guillermo, Elena Cruz and husband Carlos, and two sons Alberto Villanueva and wife Maria, Davy Villanueva and wife Amanda, 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; all of Belton. She is preceded in death by her mother, Eduarda Grimaldo.
Although our Madrecita has gone, her words, advice, hugs, kisses and love will stay with us forever in our hearts.
