Julia Belle Dailey, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and long-time resident of Belton, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, at home in Horseshoe Bay, immersed in the love of her family and the serene beauty of the Texas Hill Country.

A celebration of Julia's life will be held on September 7th at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 p.m., with a graveside service afterward at Bellwood Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.

Born on September 9, 1931, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to John and Rosalee Larson, Julia was the youngest of four children, growing up alongside three sisters and an adopted brother. Her early years were filled with the love and warmth of a close-knit family and a zest for life that never faded. Despite being diagnosed with a serious heart condition at a young age and told by doctors that she wouldn't live long, Julia defied all expectations, living a full and vibrant life and embracing every moment of her 92-plus years with grace and unwavering resilience.

In 1953, Julia married Robert Eugene Dailey, embarking on a life filled with love and a shared spirit of adventure. During Robert's time in the Army, their travels took them far and wide, including a memorable stay in Germany, where Julia got the chance to meet Elvis Presley. After settling in Texas, Robert began his career with the Santa Fe Railroad, and together, they continued to explore new destinations, creating lasting memories and friendships wherever they went.

Julia treasured her family and cherished every moment with her sisters, nieces, and nephews—who lovingly called her Aunt Judy. She found joy in setting sail on ocean cruises, taking scenic train rides through breathtaking landscapes, and attending live concerts and events. Her love for music was undeniable; she especially enjoyed gospel music and the enchanting melodies of the piano. Monterey, California, held a special place in her heart, where she formed deep, lifelong friendships and was often serenaded by her long-haired grandson, whose singing brought her endless happiness. Julia had a passion for fast cars and a deep affection for her pets and animals, fully embracing life’s many joys.

Julia is survived by her son, Ronald, and her daughter, Cynthia. She was a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, Travis, Cory, and Donna, and a loving great-grandmother to Makayla and Robert. Her legacy continues with six great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will all miss her dearly. Julia Belle will be remembered for her love of life, her deep faith, her love of family, and the sunshine she brought to all who knew her. Her kind spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

Julia was a devoted Christian and a founding member of Christ Bible Baptist Church in Nolanville, Texas, where she faithfully worshipped for 18 years.

Special gratitude is extended to Bryan Salem for his support and care, and to Gale, who spent quality time with her.

Her grandson Cory, who had been by her side on countless wonderful adventures—including an unforgettable trip to Alaska for her 92nd birthday—was holding her hand as she embarked on her final first-class journey to the ultimate destination: Heaven.
