Judy Ann (Cowan) Pugh was born in Temple, Texas on June 29th, 1948 to LeRoy and Betty Cowan. Her heavenly father welcomed her home on August 12, 2020 while she was surrounded by her family.
She spent most of her life in Central Texas and graduated from Temple High School. In 1975, she met and married Stan Pugh, her husband of almost 40 years. They later welcomed four children, who she loved deeply.
She was a faithful follower of Christ and loved Him with all of her heart. Judy read her Bible daily and was a constant prayer warrior for anyone in need. Her kids and grandkids were the light of her life, and she enjoyed spending every opportunity cheering them on in their various activities. She was also very passionate about loving and caring for all kinds of animals.
Waiting to greet her in heaven are her mom and dad, Maxine Brase (sister), and her husband Stan Pugh. Following Stan’s death, she was comforted by the verse Psalm 130:5- “I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope,” and she used this as her daily guide.
She’ll be waiting to be reunited with her four children, Israel Pugh and wife Amber Pugh, Charity Hohhertz and husband Robert Hohhertz, Aaron Pugh, and Mindy Walker and husband A.J. Walker. Her seven grandchildren, Mickayla Hohhertz, Ethan Hohhertz, Benjamin Pugh, Aubree Walker, Ayan Walker, Beau Pugh, and Addie Pugh. Brothers James Prewitt, Enoch Prewitt, and L.W. Cowan, along with a host of wonderful friends.
Judy left a legacy of faithfulness to Christ in her family. She will be greatly and deeply missed.
