Judith Ann Schaefer

Judith Ann (Curtis) Schaefer, 67, of Temple and formerly of Granbury, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2019 at The Meridian Care Center in Temple after a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Judy was on October 16, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Howard and Virginia (Geyer) Curtis. She was raised in Houston and graduated from Galena Park High School. Mrs. Schaefer received her Bachelor's Degree from Texas State University and later her Master's degree. She worked as a math and English teacher on various military bases in Germany, mainly in Darmstadt and Ansbach Germany, for 28 years before retiring in 2010. Mrs. Schaefer moved to Granbury in 2010 after retirement. Judy married Rolf Schaefer on May 2, 1984 in Darmstadt and he preceded her in death in 2018.

Judy is survived by her sister Karen Colwick and her husband Allan of Belton, nephew Aaron Colwick of Temple, nephew Steven Colwick and his wife Julie of Glenrose, Texas, as well as grand nieces Caris, Caroline, and Claire Colwick, all of Glenrose.
