Judith Caroline (Reeves) Comstock, 87, of Belton and formerly of Salado, passed away on October 17, 2021 in Belton with her husband of 69 years at her side.
Funeral services will be private.
Judith was born in Houston, Texas on December 29,1933. In 1952, after one year at Rice University, she married her husband Tom Comstock, who was an Air Force officer, and spent the next 20 years moving around the world. She believed in the biblical passage, “Wither thou Goest.” During that time, she completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English. In 1972 after her husband retired from the military, she and her family moved back to College Station, Texas, where she became a teacher of English and sociology at A&M Consolidated High School. She retired as chairperson of the English department. In 2009, she moved to Salado, Texas, where she and Tom spent happy years traveling around the United States. Her life was focused on her family and her faith. The woman that she was is best depicted in Proverbs 31:10-29:“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies... A wife of noble character who can find and faithfully instruction is on her tongue.”
Mrs. Comstock is survived by her husband Tom; her daughter Cathryn; and her sons, Tom Jr (Beth), and David (Mona); 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Memorials can be made in her name to Methodist Children’s Home, 1111 Herring Ave, Waco, TX 76708.
