John William Walters

Graveside services for John William Walters, 91, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Temple Garden Of Memories, in Temple, with military honors.
Mr. Walters died Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in a Temple nursing home.
Mr. Walters was born, August 25, 1930, in Washington D.C. the son of William Walters and Mary Etcher Walters. He served for 27 years in the United States Navy. He married Desanka Sefkerinac June 24, 1964 in Arlington, Virginia.
Mr. Walters was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Fleet Reserve Association, Navy League of the United States, Marine Corps League, U. S. Chief Petty Officers Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, July 14, 2014.
He is survived by a host of family and friends.
