John Howard Pratt

Memorial services for John Howard Pratt, 91, of San Antonio, will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, April 26, 2024, at Taylor's Valley Baptist Church in Temple with Derrel Thompson officiating.

Mr. Pratt died peacefully in his sleep, April 10, 2024, at his home in San Antonio.

Mr. Pratt was born January 14, 1933, in Houston, Texas, the son of John Henry Pratt and Marie Monteen (Puckett) Pratt.   He honorably served in the United States Army in combat during the Korean War.   He married Connie McCracken in Houston on April 14, 1957.

Mr. Pratt served the State of Texas in the Comptroller's office.  He owned and operated an equipment rental company in Round Rock, with locations in Round Rock, Pflugerville and West Austin.

Mr. Pratt was involved with many volunteer activities including church deacon, Sunday School teacher, hospital board member, President of the Chamber of Commerce in Round Rock and a carpenter with the Baptist Men's Association.

Mr. Pratt was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald Pratt and sister, Janice (Pratt) Johnston.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Connie Pratt; three sons, Kevin Pratt, Clayton Pratt and Jason Pratt; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
