John Michael Barta passed away on December 15th, 2022, at Dell Seton Medical Center of Austin, TX.
John was born on February 21st, 1953, in El Campo TX to Frank and Erma Hoerig Barta.
A resident of Salado TX, John was a trucker for many years. He had his own trucking business and was very successful. He loved his vocation. John endured many tragedies in his life at the hands of others, but his faith in Christ remained strong. He attended Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton. Towards the end of his trucking career, John’s co-driver was his beloved dog, Cassy. She was his companion and confidant. John’s life ended tragically when his home burned in Salado, Texas and after a long struggle on a ventilator because of lung injuries.
He is survived by his sisters, Janice Nelson of Belton and Mary Gonzales of San Antonio. Also, survived by many nieces, nephews, brother and a sister-in-law.

His Rosary will be at 1pm on Friday, 27, January 2023 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Belton Tx.
