John W Hunter

Services for John Washington Hunter, 80, of Temple will be held at a later date.

John died Monday, January 24, 2022, at a Temple nursing home.

He was born to Guy and Stella Hunter on August 16, 1941, in Celeste, Texas.

Mr. Hunter served in the United States Army from 1966-1968 with a tour in Viet Nam. He was a driver for Western Auto Distribution for 36 years, and Schneider Freight lines for 6 years. He was also a member of Belton VFW.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include a son, David Hunter; a daughter, Alicia Tronecker and husband Michael; seven grandchildren, Erica Smith, Tyler Gardner, Kayla King, Matheu Tronecker, Alexandra Hunter, Aaron Hunter and Austin Hunter, and one great grandchild, Paisley Whitson.
