John Albert Durisko, II., 76, of Belton passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

John was born on June 2, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to John Albert and Urilla Lorraine (Creager) Durisko.He grew up in Columbus and graduated from North High School in 1961. Mr. Durisko joined the US Navy in 1961 and served for three years before being honorably discharged in 1964. He began a career with Ohio Bell telephone company in 1964, retiring in 1984. John moved to the Woodlands and finally to Belton in 2015. He married Carol Daley in 1981 in Columbus, Ohio and they were married for 38 years before he passed away. Mr. Durisko was a diehard fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and he was a member of the Belton Police Department's CHIPS program.
Mr. Durisko was preceded in death by a daughter Christina Koski. Survivors include his wife Carol of Belton; sons Steve Jehl and his wife Lauren of Belton and Kevin Jehl and his wife Karen of Columbus, Ohio; sister Jerry Wolfe of Columbus, Ohio, and grandchildren Kealyn O’Riordan, Nathan Jehl, Anna Jehl, Lucy Jehl, and Henry Jehl.
