John H. Booze, Sr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at St. Francis Episcopal Church, with Father David Krause officiating.

Mr. Booze went home to our Lord, surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in a Temple hospital.
Mr. Booze was born April 7, 1939 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of William Edgar and Elizabeth Ruth (Simpson) Booze.  He joined the Navy in 1958 and served for seven years then transitioned to the Army National Guard, until retirement in 1999.
John met his wife, Hope Anne Anderson in December 1958.  They married December 11, 1959.   He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Belton until it closed, then moved his membership to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Temple.
He was preceded in death  by his parents, and son-in-law, Robert Bockhold, who he joins in Heaven.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Hope Anne Booze; two daughters Cheri McCracken and Cynthia Bockhold; one son John Booze, Jr. and wife Tammie; seven grandchildren, Sara Porter (Nate), Jarrod Bockhold (Jeanette), Samantha Booze, Hannah Bockhold, Mary Kate Whaley (Justin), Stephanie Booze (Haley), Mark Booze; eight great-grandchildren, Laramie, Lincoln, Matthew, Thomas, Robert, Zack, Audrey and Raegan.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Temple.
