Joe Lee Tankersley

Joe Lee Tankersley (98) passed away at William R. Courtney State Veterans Home in Temple TX. on Friday August 12th, 2022. Joe was born in Greenwood TX. on May 28th, 1924, to John and Dolley Tankersley. He is survived by his; sons Kenneth Tankersley of Sabinal TX, and Dale Tankersley of Belton Tx. His brother Harvey Tankersley, sister Rosie Hunt along with 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Mosley Tankersley, and his parents. He served in the Army during WWII as a Tank Crewman. After the war he worked on offshore oil rigs. His visitation will be Thursday, August 18th, 2022, from 5pm till 7pm at Dossman Funeral Home, Belton TX. His funeral services will be at Bellwood Cemetery, Temple TX, at 10am on Friday, August 19th, 2022.
