Joaquina (Siprian) Vaca Vera, 88, of Belton passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday morning, May 3, 2021 at Baylor-Scott and White in Temple.
A graveside service for Mrs. Vera will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at North Belton Cemetery with Moses Vaca officiating.
Joaquina was born on August 16, 1932 in Bartlett, Texas to Luis and Juanita (Reyna) Siprian. She was raised in Holland where she attended school. Mrs. Vera married Bartolo Vaca on February 14, 1952 in Belton and they were married for 36 years before he passed away in 1988. She later married Jose Vera and he preceded her in death in 2005. Joaquina worked for many years for Belton ISD as well as for Clark and Jane Potter in Belton. She attended 1st Mexican Baptist Church in Belton.
Mrs. Vera was preceded in death by her husbands Bartolo and Jose; and by brothers Frank Siprian, C.R. Siprian, and Isaac Siprian. She is survived by sons Simon Vaca of Salado, Joshua Vaca of Holland, and Sam Vaca of Belton; daughters Eunice Vaca of Belton, and Lois Kelly of Oglesby; 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Baylor-Scott and White Hospice in Temple.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
