Jimmy Dell White

Jimmy Dell White, 78, of Killeen, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Jimmy was born on March 31, 1946, in Brownwood, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who served his community as a teacher for 45 years. His passion for education left an incredible mark on the lives of countless students. Above all, Jimmy’s life was defined by sharing joy in Christ.

Jimmy enjoyed fixing things and had a love of building old cars, Bluegrass music, and traveling in his RV with his wife Sharon. His kind and giving spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.T. White and Fay Delle White, and sister, Gladys Swindle.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon White; two brothers, Larry White and wife Joy, and Clinton White and wife Carolyn; four children, Jayme Halpin and husband Nathan, Scotty White and wife Mindy, Shauna Escalante and husband Josh, and Blake Burgess; and 8 grandchildren, Izaak Mora, Jacob Mora, Dylan White, Shelby White, Abigail White, Audrey Halpin, Lucy Escalante, and Charlotte Escalante.

The Funeral service will be on Friday, May 31, at First Baptist of Belton. Visitation will be at 9am and the service will be at 10am. Dossman Funeral Home will be coordinating the services.
