Jerry Wayne Redden, 80, of Holland, TX, passed away Monday morning, February 24, 2025, at the Temple Veterans Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 11am-1pm, at Dossman Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at North Belton Cemetery following visitation.

Jerry was born on May 29, 1944, to J.H. Redden and Lee Carter, in Roscoe, TX.

Jerry was a 1962 graduate of Belton High School. He was a lifetime member of IBEW local 520, Austin, Texas.

Jerry loved the racing pigeon sport, coon hunting with his friends, going to bingo with his wife. Talking with his sister every day at 2:00pm to talk about religion, politics and reminiscing about their childhood. Watching the rodeo channel & knowing all the cowboys names.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.H. Redden and Lee Carter; stepfather Wyatt Carter; mother and father-in-law, Louie and Josie Wade, and one daughter, Laura Suzanne Redden.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Redden of Holland; one son, James D. Redden (Michelle) of Temple; two daughters, Janna and Jessica Redden of Belton; a sister, Vida Wyatt of Summerfield, Il.; four grandsons, Jaxon, Julian, Jasper, and JT; one granddaughter, Josie; and two nephews, Joel and Nathan Wyatt.

The family would like to thank the nurses at the VA CLC for their compassionate care for our husband, Dad and grandpa.
