Jeremy Michael Kissire, 40, of San Antonio, Texas died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at his home. He was born March 3, 1979 in Conway, Arkansas, the son of Debbie Alston. Jeremy moved to Texas in 1992 with his mother and brother living in Killeen initially then settling in Temple in 1993. Jeremy attended and graduated from Belton High School in Belton, Texas in 1997, where he played on the varsity high school basketball team. After high school, he worked as a healthcare professional first as a Certified Nurses Assistant and then graduating from Texas State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care (B.S.R.C.).

Following graduation from college, Jeremy worked for Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin, Texas as a Respiratory Care Therapist and ultimately Respiratory Case Manager until 2016.  While at Dell, Jeremy was the co-lead therapist working with Children's Hospitals Association of Texas to create an effective ER asthma program. At the time of his death, Jeremy was employed with The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, Allergy and Asthma Clinic, San Antonio, Texas.

His mother and stepfather, Debbie and Randal Alston of Temple, Texas; his son Kyan Kissire, 15, and daughter Teagan Kissire, 11, of Georgetown, Texas, survive Jeremy. He also leaves behind a half-sister Elizabeth Kissire of Morrilton, Arkansas; his grandparents Ken and Evelyn Henke of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; grandparents Benny Kissire and Dean Gallagher of Morrilton, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin Kissire; grandfather David Larry Yates; grandparents Gene and Ella Alston; Great-grandmother Marie Yates McGinty; Great-grandmother Mildred Drake and Great-grandparents Bill and Marie Patterson; and Great-grandmother Oma Kissire.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel, Belton, Texas and will be officiated by Pastor Jeremy Franks, Fellowship Baptist Church. Visitation will occur on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Following cremation, burial will be in the Pendleton Cemetery, Pendleton, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeremy's honor to the American Lung Association or to the Cancer Treatment Center at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital.
