Janice Davenport

Janice Elaine (Bird) Davenport, 64, of Temple passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Baylor-Scott and White in Temple.

Funeral services for Janice will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Paul Meredith officiating.

Janice was born on September 24, 1956 in Austin, Texas to Randall and Margaret (Schreffler) Bird. She was raised in Temple and was a Temple High School graduate. Ms. Davenport obtained her Paralegal certificate and worked for numerous attorneys before her health forced her to retire. Janice loved her Lord, Jesus Christ with all her heart. She fell in love with the Lord at an early age and accepted him as her Savior. Janice attended Northside Church of Christ in Temple.

Ms. Davenport was preceded in death by her parents. She was blessed with and is survived by two beautiful children, daughter Jennifer Elizabeth Hartnagle and son James Ethan Hudgins as well as 9 grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Michael Allan Bird, her sister Lisa Diane Barrett, three nephews, and two nieces.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5-7 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
