Jane Crumley

Memorial services for Jane Crumley, 58, of Salado, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 22621 SE H.K. Dodgen, Temple, Texas.

Mrs. Crumley died Friday, May 31, 2024, at her home in Salado.

Mrs. Crumley was born December 20, 1965, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of David and Rebecca (Mueller) Glandorf.  She graduated from Baylor University with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

She married Cliff Crumley, August 12, 1989 in Webster, Texas.  They made their home in El Paso for eight years before moving to Brownsville for 20 years.   Since February 2018, they have lived in Salado.

Mrs. Crumley was a speech language pathologist and schoolteacher.   She specialized in working with newborns to school age children for speech therapy.  She taught school for 18 years, primarily kindergarten, which was her favorite.

She worked as a Speech Pathologist for the Child Development Program (birth through 3 years of age) in El Paso.  She then taught at First Baptist School in Brownsville, worked as a substitute teacher at Central Texas Christian School in Temple, and finally, was the Educational Director for Slice of Heaven Educational Farm in Holland.   She also found time to tutor children in Bell County.

Mrs. Crumley was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.  Through the years, she was active with Vacation Bible School, AWANA, Sunday School, working in the nursery, and Children's Church.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Cliff Crumley; parents:  Dave and Becky Glandorf; four sons:  Robert Crumley and wife Caitlin, Joshua Crumley and wife Elyse, Phillip Crumley and wife Shelby, and Stephen Crumley; one daughter: LeAnn Crumley; one sister:  Sally Arthurs; and two grandchildren: Oakleigh and Bryn.
