Jan Yvonne Lynch, 76, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, in Temple, Texas. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 16, at Moody Leon Methodist Church at 2pm with a visitation with the family from 1pm-2pm on the same day.

She was born on October 17, 1948, in Belton, Texas, to parents M.P. and Addie Moore.

Jan dedicated many years to her career at the Veterans Administration, where she served with compassion and commitment. Her work formed not only her professional identity but was also a testament to her caring nature and her dedication to serving those who had served their country.

A devoted Christian, Jan was an engaged member of Moody Leon Methodist Church, where she found a spiritual home and community. Her generous spirit extended beyond her church, as she often offered her time and resources to help others in need, demonstrating love and compassion in every aspect of her life.

In February 2025, Jan had the joyful occasion of celebrating her 57th wedding anniversary with her beloved husband, David Lynch. Their union was marked by deep love and mutual respect, creating a lasting partnership that served as an inspiration to those around them.

In her leisure time, Jan enjoyed shopping, collecting antiques and jewelry, and exploring fashion trends. These hobbies were not just pastimes, but opportunities for her to express her vibrant personality and connect with loved ones through shared interests.

Jan is preceded in death by her father, M.P. Moore, her mother, Addie Moore, and her brother, Glen Wilson Moore. She is survived by her husband, David Lynch; her daughters, Jill Elizabeth Finke (Jahn) and Kari April Lathrop (Brent); and her grandchildren, Addison Claire Lathrop, Jace Austin Lathrop, Jacob Taylor Finke (Emily), and David Ryan Finke.

Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will remain in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Jan Yvonne Lynch will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
