Born on January 1, 1967, to the late James Jenkins Jr. and Sharon Kay Davis, James was called home Sunday, September 17, 2023, in Carlisle, PA after a long fight with kidney failure and other complications. His early education was in Central Texas, ultimately graduating Belton High School in 1986 and resumed studies for Computer Drafting & Design at University of Texas.
He married Lisa Tamez on July 21, 2003. James was an enthusiastic video game player, a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed blockbuster movies. He had a vision for art and had a true passion for drawing. He was known for his impeccable culinary skills and was the lead butcher and first line cook for Luby’s in Temple, Texas until his final place of employment, Old Fashion Burgers and Ice Cream in Salado, Texas.
He was preceded in death by brothers; Michael Jenkins, Kelly Henderson and Billy Ed Henderson; father, James Jenkins Jr.; mother, Sharon Kay Pierre-Louis; paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Jenkins Sr. (Emogene); maternal grandparents, Ellie V. Henderson and Charlie Davis; uncle, Billy James Jenkins; paternal side, five great aunts and five great uncles; maternal side, one great uncle.
He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Lisa (Tamez) Jenkins; children, Vanity Martin, Ashley Brady, James Jenkins llll, Mercadez Jenkins, Israel Jenkins and SeanPaul Jenkins; Step-children, Kristina Ramos, Marissa Johnson, David Garcia, Paul Garcia, 15 grandchildren; sister, Tiffani Jenkins; brother, Rodney Jenkins; niece, Ashley Henderson; paternal great-aunt, Omie Lee (Jenkins) Riley; paternal uncles, Herbert Jenkins, Quincy Jenkins, Larry Jenkins; maternal uncle, Charles Davis-Smith; step-father, Jean Pierre-Louis; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
We will continue to shine his light through us and through the most high.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday, September 28th, 2023, at Dossman Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be at 10am, on Friday, September 29th, 2023, at Dossman Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bellwood Memorial Park and Cemetery.
