Harvey David Brown

Harvey David Brown, age 82, passed away Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at his home in Moody.

Visitation will be held January 16th, 2025, at 10:00 at First Baptist Church of Moody with services following at 11:00 with Rev. Ken Laney officiating.  Burial will be in Moody Cemetery.

Harvey was born November 23, 1942, in San Saba, Texas to Charles Henry and Virginia Lee Johnson Brown.  He graduated high school in 1961 from Salado High School.   Harvey married Betty Wolff May 6, 1964, in Moody.  Soon after, he left for basic training after joining the Texas National Guard.  He proudly served for 6 years.  Harvey worked most of his life in sales, spending many years in radio advertising.

He served on the Moody Housing Authority Board from March 2014 – December 2018.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Moody.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Charles Henry Brown II, his sister, Tabitha Jewel Jackson and his son-in-law Royce Wall.

His family was very important to him, and he enjoyed all family get-togethers.  He is survived by his wife, Betty Brown, 3 daughters, all of Moody, Debra Wall, Karen Reat (Bubba), and Jennifer Hardcastle (Slade), grand-daughter Maigan Foster (Jordan) of Rankin, Texas, grandson Cole Reat of Moody, and great grand-daughter Adalynn Foster of Rankin, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews.
