Gregory Bruce Golden

Funeral services for Gregory Bruce Golden, 68, of Salado, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at Heritage Country Church in Salado with Ricky Lindsey and Rev Billy Johnson officiating.   Burial will be at 4:00 PM in Huntsville at Brooke Cemetery.

Mr. Golden was born July 24, 1951 in Huntsville the son of Earnest and Marjorie Golden.  He graduated from Rice University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  While at Rice he was one of the founding members of the MOB, “The Marching Owl Band”.

He began is career in the Power Plant Industry, building and operating power plants throughout the world.  He also worked for Houston Power & Light Company and Enron.   He was one of the founding members of Synthesis Energy Systems Publicly held company that produces synthesis gas.

Bruce was an independent person that loved his “Scottie” dog.  He was an ingenious person that was fascinated with technology, space, adventure and business.

Survivors include two brothers Michael Lee Golden and Barry James Golden and his wife Mary Lynn; Michael Patrick Golden.

Memorials may be made to Heritage Country Church.
