Gloria Inez Day

Gloria Inez (Barnett) Day, 86, of Belton passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at a local care facility.

Funeral services for Mrs. Day will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Rev. H.K. Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

Gloria was born on January 23, 1932 in Gay Hill in Washington County, Texas to Herman and Adele (Fathauer) Barnett. She grew up in Houston and attended school there. Mrs. Day married Donald Louis Day, Sr. on August 26, 1950 in Houston and they were blissfully married for almost 62 years before he passed away on March 23, 2012. Gloria and Donald traveled extensively all over the United States before settling in Little River. Many travels included camping under the stars with their three children, memories they cherish to this day. Mrs. Day moved to the Belton area in 2008 to be closer to family. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Baptist faith, attending several churches throughout her life.

Survivors include a son, Donald Louis Day, Jr. of Briggs, Texas, daughters Donna Warthan of Belton, and Roxann Day of Rockport, Texas, her many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her bright smile and twinkling blue eyes.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-2 PM at Dossman Funeral Home prior to the service.
