Glen O. Sumerford, Jr.

Funeral services for Glen O. Sumerford, Jr., 62, of Belton will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Belton Church of Christ with Minister Ritchie Hamm officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Sumerford died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at his home in Belton.

Mr. Sumerford was born February 13, 1957, in Temple, the son of Glen O. Sumerford, Sr. and Geneva (Wakefield) Sumerford.  He was a 1975 graduate of Belton High School.  He married Susie Stewart, June 20, 1981, at the Belton Church of Christ.  They made their home in Belton.  He worked for 35 years for One Main Financial in Temple and Round Rock.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister Linda Sumerford Lemmons.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Sumerford of Belton; son Justin Sumerford and his wife Kaylee of Belton; daughter Kyra Hinkson and her husband Kyle of Temple; father Glen O. Sumerford Sr. of Belton; sister Brenda Ingram of Belton; and two grandchildren Karter and Kynsley Hinkson.
