George Edward Roberts

George Edward Roberts, 69, of Belton passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at his home in Belton.

Funeral services for Mr. Roberts will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Kirby Foster officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

George was born on February 9, 1949 in Belton to Thomas and Violet (Cunningham) Roberts. He grew up in Belton and attended schools there. Mr. Roberts married Joyce Linder on June 3, 1966 in Belton and they were married for 52 years before he passed away. George was an owner/operator truck driver for many years before retirement. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Belton.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Roberts. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Belton, sons Leon Roberts of Belton and Michael Roberts of Hewitt, daughters Tasha Jackson of Belton and Christina Neely of Belton, brothers Kenneth Roberts of San Antonio and Randy Roberts of Troy, and sisters Nelda Roberts of Temple, Janice Foster of Bruceville, Lisa Welch of Bruceville, and Dolores Farmer of Troy, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
