Genovefa Bell

Genovefa (Mpeka) Bell, 82, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at her home in Temple.

Graveside services for Mrs. Bell will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 3:30 PM at North Belton Cemetery in Belton with Rev. Mike Baggerly officiating.

Genovefa was born on June 16, 1937 in Salonika, Greece to John and Fani (Prada) Mpeka. She was raised in Greece and attended school there. Mrs. Bell moved to Germany in 1955 where she met her husband Jimmie Bell. They were married on December 22, 1966 in Columbus, Georgia and they were married for almost 44 years before he passed away in 2010. Mrs. Bell moved to Belton in 1982 and began working as a baker at Belton High School. She worked for BISD for 22 years before retiring in 2004.

Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie in 2010. She is survived by sons Nicholas Mimikakis of Terrell, Jimmie Bell of Temple, and Robert Bell of Temple, as well as grandchildren Landon Bell, Joshua Bell, and Nicole Church.
