Memorial services for Gary Joe “Cattle Rustler” Ward, Jr., 41, of Little River, will be 11am Saturday, January 27th, 2024, at the 3 C Cowboy Church in Salado.

Mr. Ward was born in Georgetown, the son of Gary Ward and Paula King.  He married Jackie Junek, October 28, 2023, in Little River, after a 16 year relationship.  He worked in Georgetown for Williamson County Road and Bridge.   He was an excellent Cowboy.   He worked and hauled cattle for John Downing at the Downing Ranch for 15 years.  He was a member of the Little River Catfish Association.

Mr. Ward enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, and playing golf.  He was an avid football fan and loved the Texas Longhorns.   Mostly he enjoyed his friends and family.  Gary was a legendary storyteller, friends and family would hang on every word.   He was the life of the party.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Ward; parents Gary Ward and Paula King both of Holland; three daughters Hayley Ward, Kylee Ward and Jayci Ward; one son Clayton and wife Rhettlee Junek of Buffalo; and two grandchildren, Ella Kaye Junek and Daylyn “Dewey” Ward; and a sister Lynda Ward of Holland; one niece, Hannah Ward and two nephews, Kyree Hill and Ricky Hill.    Also, his best dog, Duece, an American Bulldog Catahoula mix.
