Graveside services for Gary J. Verdun, 66, of Belton will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the North Belton Cemetery with minister Paul Woodward officiating.
Mr. Verdun was born May 24, 1957, in Thibodaux, Louisiana, the son of Louis John and Rosemary Winnie (Savoie) Verdun. He graduated in 1979 from LSU. he married Judy Lowe, September 3, 1988 in Temple. He was a Christian.
He was a computer engineer and worked for Texas Instruments and Compact, before joining Dell in 1998. In 2005 he was recognized as engineer of the year for Dell. He was one of twelve Elite Engineers for Dell. He retired in April 2023.
Mr. Verdun was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Louis J. Verdun Jr.
Survivors include his wife Judy Verdun, two sons Dustin Banks and wife Jennifer and Kyle Verdun and wife Kate; five brothers Glenn Verdun, Bruce Verdun, Wayne Verdun, David Verdun and Perry Verdun; one sister, Wanda LeBlanc; Goddaughter Kassie Barbier, and five grandchildren, Vito, Gavin, Gia, Emma, and Gracie.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Metavivor Cancer Research.
