Graveside services for Gail Heckman, 78, of Belton, will be held at 1 PM Friday, at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-7 PM Thursday at the Dossman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Heckman was born May 28, 1942 in Comfort, Texas, the daughter of Douglas B. Fuller and Beatrice Boyne Fuller. She worked as a switchboard operator early on. Later she was manager of Diamond Shamrock Convenience Stores for 15 years. She worked as a dispatcher for The Hop for 10 years before retiring. She enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the APA and played in pool leagues. She was also a league bowler for many years. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She married Fred Heckman January 28, 1982 in Cameron.
Survivors include her husband Fred Heckman of Belton; two sons, Phillip Pollard and wife Paula of Belton, and Keith Pollard and wife Sandra of Troy; one sister Maria M. Fuller of Grapevine, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
