Frances Marie (Machalek) Martin

Funeral services for Frances Marie (Machalek) Martin, 85, of Belton, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 2, 2019, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Dan Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Seaton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday, September 1 ^st , at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Martin died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at her home in Belton.

Mrs. Martin was born May 18, 1934, in Ratibor, the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Hutka) Machalek. She was a graduate of Belton High School and attended business college in Austin. She married Milton Martin on August 13, 1955, in Temple.

Mrs. Martin was a farmer’s daughter, outstanding student, wife, polio survivor, missionary, entrepreneur, mentor to many. But to her children she was Mom!

She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by one son, Paul Martin, on January 29, 2008.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Milton Martin, of Belton; three sons – Bruce Martin and wife Proviann of Fort Worth, TX,  Daniel Martin and wife Jennifer of Charlotte, NC, and Benjamin Martin and wife Becky of Rogers, TX; one daughter – Beth Lott and husband David of San Ramon, Peru; one brother, Dr. Milton Machalek and wife Roberta of Hershey, PA; and one sister Shirley Berry and husband Bob of Round Rock, TX; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
