Private Funeral services for Fidel Gonzalez, 75, of Belton, will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton with Rev. Sang Quan officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery.

A Private Rosary will be at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Gonzalez died Thursday, April 30, 2020, in a Temple Hospital.

Mr. Gonzalez was born in Michoacan, Mexico, March 9, 1945, the son of Emeterio and Gregoria Gonzalez. He married Maria Lemus in Mexico. They lived in California for many years where he worked as a truck driver. In 2004 they moved to Belton to retire and live closer to family. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Mr. Gonzalez was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Delfino Gonzalez and a son, Fidel Gonzalez, Jr. who died in 2002.

Survivors include his wife Maria Gonzalez, one son Luis Gonzalez, two daughters Yolanda Gonzalez and Leticia Gonzalez; two brothers Ciriaco Gonzalez and Efrain Gonzalez; three sisters Abigail Corona, Celia Avila and Carmen Mireles; and six grandchildren
