F. N. Hood

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Hood died Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his home in Temple.

Mr. Hood was born April 23, 1933 in Bell County, the son of George Monroe Hood and Mary Josephine (Whitehead) Hood.   He married Darlene Green July 9, 1955.   He owned H & H Carpet.   Mr. Hood was a long standing member of the Medicine Men of Harker Heights.  He was also a member of the Bell County Cowboy Ring of Honor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Troy, Coy, John and Tuff Hood; and two sisters AnnaVee White and Myrtle Lee Townsend.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Darlene Green Hood of Temple, son Randy Hood and wife Sheron of Harker Heights; daughter Debbie Mendenhall and husband Tony of Temple; one brother Billy Hood and wife Brenda of Bonham. eight grandchildren; Michele Jones, Heath Mendenhall, Sami Mendenhall, Deidre Mendenhall, Skylar Mendenhall, Brady Mendenhall, Jackie Mendenhall and Bryan Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and his dog, Dolly.

Memorials may be made to the Bell County Cowboy and Cowgirl Ring of Honor.
