Evelyn “Bennie” Carroll passed away peacefully on November 19 ^th , 2022, in Belton, Texas with family by her side.

Born on October 19, 1936, in Metter, GA, Bennie was the only child of Walter and Mary Cartee.

On April 5 ^th , 1957, she married Albert “Red” Carroll in South Carolina, and together they had four children.

Bennie treasured her family and friends above all else. Because she grew up an only child, she sought any opportunity to surround herself with people. Anything she did was a chance to connect with her loved ones, whether it was traveling, antiquing, fishing, or simply sharing a meal.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Red Carroll, and their eldest son, Donnie Carroll.

Bennie is survived by her daughter, Darlene Ellis and her husband, Danny; son Henry Carroll; daughter Laquita Carroll; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22 ^nd , 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, TX.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 23 ^rd , 2022, at 1:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, TX with burial to follow at Salado Cemetery in Salado, TX.
