Ellen Elaine Stratton

Ellen Elaine Stratton went to her eternal Home on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Born April 6, 1945, Ellen spent most of her adult life in Killeen, TX. She was proud to have devoted much of her life to caring for children. She once operated a daycare from her home and often volunteered as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed a decades long career with Killeen ISD, starting as a resource aide and retiring as a special education teacher. She loved animals almost as much as she loved children, and she especially enjoyed watching birds. She is survived by her sister, Anna Lou LeFevre, her brother, Henry “Pete” Ramsey, her three daughters, Vickie Cook, Tina Sorrells, and Lisa Stratton, and one son, William Stratton, as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and others. The family offers profound gratitude to the team at Enhabit Home Health & Hospice for their heartfelt care and professional support.

A private burial service will be attended by the family. A visitation with the family is scheduled on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, TX. A Celebration of Life will be enjoyed by extended family and friends on Ellen’s 80th birthday. Please do not send flowers; however, planting trees in Ellen’s memory is a wonderful way to honor her life.
