Funeral services for Douglas D. Vaughan 88, of Moffat will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel, with Richard Gatto officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to services.

Mr. Vaughan died Sunday, March 23, 2025, in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Vaughan was born January 1, 1937 in Mayfield, Michigan, the son of Charles Edward and Jessie Eulala (Goodwin) Vaughan. He graduated from Lapeer High School in 1955. He married Georgia Cetas in 1956 and remained married until 1979. She died in 2002. He served in the National Guard. He was a tinsmith by trade, working in the sheet metal industry.

He lived in Pearland, Texas for many years where he served on the Planning Commission, All Play Football, and was a founding member of the Dad's Club. In the early 1980's he moved to central Texas where he was a member of the Sportsman Club and several Christian outreach programs.

In February 1993, he married Margaret Luna. He worked with her in the operations of Luna Upholstery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in 2004. Survivors include one daughter Kimm Jo Vaughan, one son Jeffrey C. Vaughan and two grandsons, Jake Vaughan and Derrick Vaughan.
