Dorothy Jean Arp White
July 28, 1925 — September 8, 2022
Dorothy Jean Arp White was one of 4 beautiful daughters born to BF and Cora Arp. Her sisters were Lorraine, Billie Faye, and Sara. She also had 1 brother Sonny Arp. She attended Belton High School and graduated in 1942 at the age of 16.
She also visited her daughter who lived in England several times.
She was working at the phone company when she was introduced to her future husband by her sister Lorraine. She married O.B. White in August of 1946.and moved to the farm.
Their daughter Mary Elizabeth was born in 1948 and their son Robert Jack in 1952.
Dorothy was active in her children's lives with Girl Scouts and the PTA .and other school activities. She was also very involved with the First Methodist Church in Belton teaching Sunday School, and the youth groups. She was later involved with the Little River Methodist Church.
After the children went to college, she learned to play bridge and was eventually a Life Master. She played locally and enjoyed traveling to tournaments including Bermuda.
She also visited her daughter who lived in England several times.
Dorothy will be remembered as a loving mother and wife. She had a deep Christian belief. Her faith sustained her all her days.
