Donald Edward Schigut, age 87, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, at Scott and White Hospital. A resident of Salado, Texas, Donald died of natural causes, just days after the passing of his beloved wife, Virginia Ann Schigut, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship.

Donald was a devoted husband, father, and friend. His life was characterized by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family. Known for his generous spirit and warm personality, he left a lasting impact on everyone he met, and his legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by the following, who were his greatest pride and joy: daughter Denise Schigut, and sons Joseph "Lee" Schigut, wife Lori Schigut, son Michael Schigut, grandson Dylan Schigut and 7 grandbabies. Donald's love and guidance will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A joint service to honor both Donald and Virginia’s lives will be held in Belton, TX, with details to follow.
