Donald H. Peterson, Jr.

Funeral services for Donald H. Peterson, Jr. 63, of Belton will be held at 1 :00 PM Monday, March 29, 2021, at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel with H. K. Ballard officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Sunday, evening at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Peterson was born October 7, 1957, in Augsburg, Germany, the son of Donald H. Peterson and Shirley Louise Davis Peterson.   He grew up in central Texas and graduated from Killeen High School.  He worked in furniture sales most of his life.  He was sales manager from the Roomstore and Rooms To Go.

Mr. Peterson married Phyllis Parsons, February 14, 2012 in Belton.  He was a family man and a friend to everyone he met.  He was a loyal Cowboy’s Fan.   He also loved to Country Western dance.   He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis Peterson of Temple, mother Shirley Peterson of Belton, son Kyle Peterson of Belton; two step-sons Jason Wittenauer (Sarah) of Round Rock and Frank Wittenauer (Christine) of Connecticut step-daughter Kristen Garren (Brian) of Kentucky; two brothers Kirk Peterson (Lucy) of Dallas and Kevin Peterson of Vietnam; ); and eight grandchildren, Madilyn, Madison, Landon, Hannah, Wyatt, Katie, Kate and Carrie; and nieces and nephew, Johannah Peterson, Kathleen Peterson, Eilish Peterson Pruitt and Sean Peterson.
